I have bought a WD SSD 250 gb blue for my laptop that connects using the pcie slot. I tried cloning the OS that won't work and a clean reinstall won't boot saying it has encountered a problem. Has anybody got any info that could help thank you

An m.2 WD Blue SSD will not work in a PCIe slot on your motherboard.
At all. Ever.
If that is indeed an actual PCIe m.2 port.
My bad I was told it was I was think something like that would be the problem I comes up the BIOS and I can install Windows on it but it won't boot from it is what ur saying?
I have the Dell gaming series latop that does have that port the way I have the drive currently installed
I read some online that people on my laptop are using the samsung 850 and the newer 860 n.2 ssds I don't have the manual I believe anymore but ever seems to be using these with success.

If an 850 or 860 will work, so should the WD Blue.
All 3 are SATA based drives.
For some reason the WD blue won't work Ive done alot of things like a clean reinstall and clo being to it. Called WD to see to why their cloing software doesn't work is because their own drives are not getting picked up by their software. I'm just going to return it and use the samsung because multiple people have had success. I've reinstalled my os on my hard drive so I should be able to clone it using the samsung migration software.
