Best upgrades for 10 year old Alienware

I've had my pc for 10 years an Alienware Area 51 and I know I need to upgrade it as I can no longer max everything out in a game and its generally slowing down.

I7 920
NVIDIA GTX 760
18 Gigs Ram DDR3
500g SATA HD + two additional 500g SATA HD

Haha.....I was in the same boat.

I had the I7-920 on an ASUS P6T Deluxe MB with a GTX 470 with 6GB RAM.

I upgraded the processor to an I7-980 and the video to a GTX 1060 and upped the RAM to 12 GB and went to an SSD and it plays every game on max settings at 1080p.

With a lot of the newer AAA games, yeah it will pretty much die, I went through this myself with my old i7 870 machine and RX 480 8GB. Even with the RX 480 it still struggled getting max settings out of the newest AAA games.

Depends on what you want to do really, talking realistic here.

You could put a GTX 1060 in it and it will improve things some, but on the more demanding AAA games it will still struggle on max settings.
