So I bought this PC from a friend for dirt cheap 'cause he was moving from the country, and I'm definitely not a tech savvy person so I need some help in keeping it up to date along with a low budget good enough for 1080p gaming
These are the only known Specs I know so far:-
PC Known specs
Cabinet:- Cooler master K380 Mid Tower
Processor AMD FX6300 with stock Heatsink
GPU:- AMD SAPPHIRE HD6570 1GB ddv3
Motherboard:- ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
Power supply:- THUNDER 500W
8gb ram DDR3
2 fans (unknown size),
I want to make this rig playable with a fairly low budget, because right now it force shuts down with around 70°C temperature on the processor when I play DOTA2 on low settings
Any help would be deeply appreciated

Solution

Nothing that shouldn't work with a new GPU. There's also no need to match AMD/Nvidia with other parts, they both work the same.

@superninja12
Is that Corsair 450W powersupply required? I already have a 500W one that came with the build.
Also please forgive me for any stupid questions I've asked or may have asked, this is the first ever PC I've owned

It's recommended; the Cooler Master Thunder 500W is a fairly low-quality power supply. Cooler Master makes a lot of great products, but they brand a lot of power supplies of mediocre-or-worse quality below their top tier, which is excellent.

You may need to clean out and reseat your heatsink, 70 degrees is too much for an AM3+ processor. If you still have problems after that, the Cryorig H7 is the default choice for a decent budget cooling solution.

Thank you so much for the solution, also would the previously mentioned GTX 1050 Ti 4GB be compatible with the build? Such as cabinet space requirements and and port connectivity? Nothing in this rig is made with Nvidia, just AMD
