Does the Netgear AC1750 R6350 router work with fiber internet? My old Belkin router worked without a modem and when I connected the new router the same way, I can't connect. The router is connected, but not the Internet. I've confirmed with my ISP that they're not having any interruptions.

You HAVE to have some device that acts as a what people call a "modem". Ethernet can only go 100 meters so something else must be used to go between your house and the ISP.

Problem is ISP are not real consistent on what they call "fiber" internet. If the fiber actually comes into your house then there is a box that converts the fiber to ethernet. Most times this is called a ONT but it does the same basic function as a modem. Other ISP run fiber to some other location close to your house then run copper wire into the house running something like VDSL.

If you have a fiber converter box in your house you should be able to plug most router wan ports into it and it will just work....sometimes you must tell the ISP the mac...
