Ram for X470

I am planning to upgrade my pc, i'm thinking of x470 with Ryzen 7 2700x

I was thinking of 16 gb of ram (2x8) now what i don't know is if it's possible to upgra my ram afterwards (4x8) is it possible, without a loss in performance or something since there are some discussions about Dual channel and Quad channel with AMD motherboards.

Two of Kingston HyperX KHX3600C17D4/8GX work great for me, full speed, decent Cl. Ryzen doesn't have quad channel so you don't have to bother with it. 4x8GB is also possible (providing MB has 4 slots) but not at that speed, 3000-3200 at most with good RAM.
