Resistor for led

Solution
You need a proper DC to DC power converter (assuming that the 76v is DC). Trying to drop that much voltage with just an resistor isn't the safest way of doing it (it would run hot as hell)

Something like that should do the job.
DO you know what the current draw for the LED is? We need that so we can use it to calculate using OHMS law which is V = I * R.

V = Voltage
I = Current
R = Resistance

The other option is to get a line regulator, basically a variable resistor that will allow you to adjust the resistance to drop the voltage to what you want.
