Permission issues while moving external SSD between different computers (Win 10)

I have a 1 TB external SSD that I want to be able to use to transfer files between several different computers, all running Windows 10. I connect it through a USB 3.0 cable.

One computer seems to be able to handle this without issue. The others (a desktop and two laptops) frequently develop security/permissions issues when I plug in the drive—usually after the drive has been plugged in to one of the other two computers. I have figured out that I can go through and tell the drive and all subfolders to give full permissions to "Everyone," and this usually seems to help, but I would like for it to be more of a plug-and-play experience rather than having to update the security sessions frequently. Is there a way of setting up this drive to more easily travel between two computers? I don't plan to use the drive to store any installed programs, just to share documents between computers and serve as a library of works in progress and archive of finished projects.

Doesnt answer your question. But might be worth looking into using win10 remote desktop. If you haven't already. With in the desktop of any of the pcs, you can access your others.

I am familiar with Remote Desktop; however, there are numerous times where I am not able to access a network on one of the laptops or do not want to leave my home PC running. If it were just a matter of sharing files online, a cloud solution such as Dropbox would work in lieu of having a drive to access.
