It was working perfectly fine for 2.5 weeks and then yesterday while gaming it just stopped. I can turn on the PC and it'll run but not display anything to the monitor.

I can plug my HDMI cable into motherboard and it displays so I don't think it's the cable (just ordered another cable just in case).

I bought the card on Ebay for a bit over $400 from someone who had good reviews selling other GPUs but I wouldn't be surprised if it was mined on if that helps anyone.

I've tried taking out the GPU and putting it back in (making sure it is correctly in the PCI slot and power cables are all the way in.

The way it works now is all the LEDs work and the fans begin to spin when I turn on the computer but stop shortly after. The FTW2 model has synchronous fans based on what needs to be heated and the GPU fan runs for a shorter amount of time than the VRAM fan (possibly gpu chip not turning on???).

This card was never really running above 60 degrees C from the times I checked it under load so I doubt it was a thermal issue.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks :)

If you got any used aftermarket GPU for a really good price lately, then it was more than likely that it was used for mining. Just wait a few more months and a new 1080 has a chance to be down near 400 USD. But anything can happen until then.
its sounds like you have done everything. the only other thing i would try is seeing if you can find another PC to try the GPU in to see if it boots and if it does then it might be an issue with your power supply (CPU specs would help here) other than that you can try to contact the seller to see if there is anything they can do or see if there is any warranty on it

Thanks for the input. It's an i7 8700K on an asus rog maximus X code. PC works completely fine with onboard graphics and the PSU is seasonic 850W 80+ Platinum so I don't think there is any problem with that. I'll probably contact the seller in the next couple of days if I can't figure out a way to fix it.
