Gtx 1070 or 1060 6gb for 1080p gaming?

So guys, I'm building my first rig and I'm not sure which gpu I should choose. I own a ryzen 5 2600, 16gb of ram and would like to play some newer games at high settings at 60fps, since I own a 1080p@60hz monitor I'm not sure if gtx1070 will be an overkill or not.

If you are not planning any upgrades, then you can save some bucks and go with the 6 gig 1060. If you think you will want to upgrade to maybe 1440p then go for the 1070. 1060 can run max out any game on 1080p. The choice is up to you.

I don't plan to upgrade anything for about a year or so. I think I will stick with a gtx 1060 6gb and get a decent SSD instead of buying gtx 1070. Thanks :D
