Can't boot from bootable USB when new SSD is connected

Hi, I am new here but it seems that the people here are very helpful.

Anyway, I purchased 120GB SSD to replaced my old HDD from a laptop. I created a Ubuntu 16.04 bootable USB drive thru Rufus. To test out if the bootable usb was successfully created, I tried to first boot it with my HDD connected. The USB successfully boot and the installation option shows in the monitor.
Now I removed my HDD and replaced with the new SSD for a fresh install, as usual I set up the USB as first boot. But after I restart the Machine, no installation option shows in the monitor. I tried to wait for a several minutes but still got no response. I tried to restart the laptop, but this time I manually select the Bootable USB and still got the same issue. No installation option shows, only black screen.
The SSD was good for it was detected from BIOS. I tried to remove the SSD from the laptop and leave no diskDrive except the bootable flash. After reboot, Ubuntu 16.04 installation options shows without.

My unit specs.

Intel Core i7-3610QM at 2.30GHz
RAM: 4GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 610M dedicated with 2GB video memory

P.S.
I set the Bootable flash as first boot and enable AHCI Mode.

Can someone Help me with this.

Thanks a lot.

@ Rocky Bennett
I tried gparted in the live USB and formatted my SSD as boot system, but still when i plug my USB stick with OS and SSD to laptop SATA, USB stick bootable wont load only black screen shows. I selected the stick as first boot.

I don't know maybe it is my laptop having a compatibility issue with SSD or something.

Hoping for a help.

Why did you format your SSD as boot system when there is no OS on there to boot from?
