Hi all, I want to add more ram to my motherboard. Its an Asrock H97m pro4 mobo and currently using avexir 2 x 4gb DDR3 1600 ram dimm. Question is that it is possible to add 2 x 8gb ddr3 1600 ram ? adding it up to 24gb ram?

here is the manual of the mobo on ram installation page 15

I just want to clear out my confusion. The shops here in my country do not have a return policy.

Your motherboard supports 32GB max ram with 4 slots. which means you can mount 8GB rams. I do not think there would be any problem if you install 2x8GB rams however if you want to be sure you can ask some firend who owns 2x8GB rams to test on your build. Some motherboards may need a BIOS update.
I also wonder why you need 24GB's of RAM as excess ram will have little effect on performance.

Thanks for the quick reply. Currently i am using my PC as a Digital Audio Workstation. With all the Virtual Instrument taking up the RAM usage a lot, thats the reason why i'm planning on adding some more ram to it.
