DDR4 3000 MHz compability with CPU and Motherboard

Hello friends,

I’m a little confused on the support of the ram speed from the cpu and motherboard.
I have a ryzen 7 1800x and a asus rog strix b350-f and I was wondering if I could run ram at speeds of 3000 Mhz.

Yes, the ram will run at its base speed (2133mhz) but you can use DOCP or XMP (depening on the board) and set it to 2933mhz and it will run at that speed. You can also manually configure it to that speed.
