I'm having a really annoying problem with a new pc that I built recently
so after wiring it all up, and having it start up, it seemed fine. The only problem I had was that it had power, but then nothing shows up on the screen, it just comes up as no signal

my parts are:
MSI B350M Mortar
Ryzen 3 2200G (currently using AMD boot kit with their A8 cpu)
Some random DDR4 patriot ram 2x4gb
350W PSU from Seasonic
and just some random HDD to boot from

So what I've done so far to try and fix this is first I tried taking it off of a tv screen and using a pc monitor
when that didn't work I tried going from HDMI to DVI
then I tried putting the two ram stick in the other ports
then I tried the AMD boot kit with their A8 CPU
then I tried just 1 ram slot as well as moving them around and swapping between them
then I tried a discrete GPU
then I just tried leaving it for like 10-15 minutes to try and boot
then removing that silver battery thing which I think was the CMOS and putting it back in
I'm genuinely running out of idea's I've checked every wire, I've tried 3 different PSU's, I've tried DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort on two different screens and a TV

The error lights on the motherboard do one of 3 things
either it one by one lights up CPU, then DRAM, then VGA and BOOT at the same time
it repeats that over and over
or it gets stuck on ram (that doesn't happen if I move them around a bit and try a single stick)
or eventually it will just light up VGA and BOOT and stay there

that's basically the whole story, why can't I get this thing working, it only powers then the screen simply doesn't detect a signal
I just want to know how I can get this thing to boot in some way, any suggestions would be appreciated

OK, here's what I would do. Make sure you have plugged in every cord.

You must plug in the 8-pin cord to the motherboard.
Leave out the graphics card.
Unplug the hard drive from the SATA port.
Use the A8 from the boot kit, make sure your cooling is mounted correctly, cpu is install correctly.
Start with 1 stick of ram, in slot A2

See if it boots up.

thanks, I've tried most of these, the CPU is only 4 pin too
but I will try the hard drive one, I wanted to try it before, but I wasn't sure if a faulty hard drive could do something like this
it was a pretty shady random HDD to be fair

I've been trying to update it with one of the boot kit cpu's, if the first gen ryzen is supported, then I'm sure that A8 9600 would be too since they were released for the same motherboard generation

The results are the same however
Is the motherboard a lemon? It seems to work just fine, but for some reason it gives off no video signal and wont even power peripherals, I'm really stuck here

ok so after some waiting, I've got a new motherboard, and a new problem arose
I bought the gigabyte ab350m, plugged in the boot kit and everything worked smoothly
it was running the f21 bios
so the boot kit was doing its job and booting into the bios
the problem is, the ryzen 2200g still wouldn't boot, although now the keyboard powers, so I replaced the cpu and bought different ram, this 2200g still has the same problem, I'm just going in circles here, I've even tried it with ram that I know works because I took it out of another rig, same results
boot kit works, 2200g does not

anyone got any ideas anymore cus no amount of cmos clearing and part replacing changes this and I'm just stuck, I've even tried the f10 bios, neither of these work
