Sound kinda weird but can it work
Here my pc:
Intel celeron e3300 3.0Ghz (OC)
Ram 3gb ddr2
No graphic card :(
Hdd 1tb
G31/33 chipset (idk if it’s right tho)
And can you guys suggest me somekind of PSU for a decent price
I also wanted to upgrade my cpu to a Intel core 2 quad Q9300
Thanks

Solution

First I need to know what motherboard the DDR2 RAM is going into. Or is this a pre-built with an OEM board?
If the board only has 2 DIMM slots, I would set aside the sticks you have now (2GB and 1GB?), and replace with 2x4GB if the board accepts that much.

Are you in the US?

If you can add an extra $1.99 to your budget, I would definitely get this Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D. I have done several "gaming" rebuilds of off-the-shelf Dells, HPs, Lenovos, etc with this PSU. It is strong, quiet, dependable, and even has a 6-pin cable for bigger cards like the GTX 1050 Ti OC. I even had a GTX 1060 running fine on it.

G31TM-P21 is the mother board and this is not a pre-built with an OEM board ( ish i'am not sure )
The board has only 2 DIMM slots, and my board accept up to 8gb of DDR2

And Yes i am in The US
Sorry for late replied i has to many things going on. Especially moving out for college

Ah, college. Yes, very busy times. All settled in and deep into your studies, I imagine. No time for gaming :D

[strike]Is[/strike] [strike]this[/strike][strike] your board[/strike]? [strike]If so, that old of a chipset probably requires older low-density RAM. I just found some for an older G41 chipset build I'm working with.[/strike] 2x8 GB DDR3 1333MHz low-density. [strike]Should work on your board too.[/strike]

(might find used cheaper on ebay)

Thank you for reply so quickly. Yeh that's my board right there an old dusty board :) and yeh i might going to ebay.
Hell Ram price are up to the roof.

Bad news, G31 chipset is unable to remap PCI/APIC addresses to above 4GB, so those will use up memory below 4GB and you will never see more than 3.27GB usable even in a 64-bit OS, though it can be seen in the BIOS. On the bright side, about any DDR2-667 and up should work as it wasn't around for 10 years like DDR3 (so no density issues).

In a 32-bit OS I did create a Ramdrive in the memory above 3.27GB and put the pagefile there, so after a fashion was able to sort-of use the memory above that limit that Windows could not touch. I never could get it to work in a 64-bit OS though.

Antec EA-380D was OEM by Delta and is a very fine PSU.
