Hi , i have a Asus VS247HR TN 23.6" FHD 16:9 60Hz monitor and i would like to know if its fine to OC it to 70/75hz..i mostly play games so it would be kinda nice but im afraid of breaking my monitor since i dont have money for a new one
Going a few Hz above the maximum its capable of will only result in black screen and a revert back to original settings.
Go ahead, overclock, but do slow steps at a time. And dont be greedy (e.g. 100 Hz, 120Hz etc)
A good tip :Unstable 2 times, means unstable. And anything above ~10Hz range may be unstable too.
Just like processors, each monitor is different. Some can handle an overclock and some can't. You will see if it cannot. Increase it 1Hz at a time until it gets distorted/unstable, then go back down and that is your max overclock.
Hmm okay i will try it , but imagine o go up to 75 but i regret it , if i come black to the normal Hz (60 on this case) it will stay the same as nothing happend?
That's been my experience with it. I got 67Hz stable out of my 60Hz monitor. I used it like that for a while, but eventually I went ahead and bought a 144Hz monitor.

Hi, I would like to know that if i lets say Overclock my 60hz monitor to 75hz but i regret it and turn it to the default Hz (60Hz in this case) it would stay as if nothing happend..Like i dont mess with it or the lifespan is shorten already even if i turn it back to the original Hertz?
