Hi, Guys I Have A Seagate 1TB SATA Hard Dive Which Is Now Showing 128 GBs In Disk Management As well As In BIOS.

So The Flash Back.

It's An Old Drive I'm Using Form A Long Time From A Couple Of Days It Was Making Noise(Scratching Noise) And Yesterday When I Turned My PC On It Made Same Noise But It Was Stuck At Boost Loader(Dell Start Up) When It Went Future After 2-3 Mints I Press F1 And It Said No Boot Device Available When I Noticed It Wasn't Even Spining I Changed I SATA Cable But Noting Happens Then I Connected It To An Other PC But It Wan't Showing Up In BIOS or Disk Management. Today I Gave It To A Friend Who Claimed He Can Repair If There Is Any PCB Problem After That When We Connected It To PC It Was Showing Up But Only 128 Gbs In Disk Management And BIOS. So What Do I Do.

Windows 7
DELL Optiplex 755

Solution
if there data on the drive that you need stop now before it lost. the first issue of the noise was a failed spindle or head crash. i dont know if your friend did anything to the drive control board or firmware. but right now you dont want to power it back on if you want your data. you need to send it to a recovery lab as is. in real world your drive is dead...the more you fool with it the more your going to lose the data on the drive.
