thanks in advance

Sounds like it didn't set correctly then. How did you apply it? Small dot on the die is all that you need, then put the heat pipe back on.

Did you clean your laptop from dust or not? Use hw info or msi afterburner to read cpu temp. Maybe, due to a lot of dust your cpu is overheating and thermal throtlling(maybe i wrote this wrong, correct me).

Open 'Task Manager' while you are gaming to see what your CPU/GPU/MEM/HD usage is. Check to see if one is being used considerably more then the other(s). Also check to see what background apps may be consuming a lot and 'end task' anything you don't need to have running.
It would also be good to see your temps. Use something like CPUID's "HWMonitor": https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

At least with the above, we'll then know for sure what the issue is & what to do to resolve it.

102C for a 5500u is very hot. Supposedly, it can handle up to 105C... but it should not be getting that hot. You are going to want to get some compressed air and blow out the vents on the side/back of the laptop. It's recommended to do this while the laptop is turned off. If you see dust coming out, continue to use the air until no more dust comes out of it.
I'd also recommend getting a laptop cooling pad and keeping the laptop on that while you are gaming.

Worst case, you may need to disassemble the laptop and replace the thermal paste on the CPU/GPU.

toshibitsu i already replaced the thermal paste 3 weeks ago and i have an cooling pad i will try the method of blowing the fans with air instead of doing the oppsite and the fan on the side thank you again

it seems like i applied morethan a small dot and i think it's why that is happening now but how does it affect thermals that much

Heat isn't transferring to the heat pipe and exhausting out the air vent. Instead, it just heats up everything around it. A very thin layer of paste is all that's needed.

If you want to be safe, you can put a few drops around the cpu & then use your finger to smooth it out evenly all over the surface of the cpu. Just a very thin layer. That should do just fine.

What you don't want to do is put on so much that it starts spilling over the sides when the heatsink is pressed down(although I have seen people do that and the systems still work fine).... o_O

it didnt spill but i applied alot of it more than a drops and i think it makes air bubbles and my laptop is thin but not much its thicker than the new macbook 15 by a fair amount
