Hi guys, so today i got a problem and it all started when i wanted to fix my rog gaming center and went to the asus driver site. i was looking for stuff and then i found a new keyboard firmware update. i wanted to install it and so i did and i downloaded and ran the exe. i clicked continue and after a few seconds it told me there was a new BBK update, i didnt know what that waas and was scared it could do damage to my keyboard i cancelled it and the firmware update failed, i tried typing on my keyboard but nothing works. ive been searching on google but i havent seen anyone have the same problem as me. I tried restarting the laptop, going back to a restore point before the update but sys restore failed on me the worst time, i tried uninstalling the device and reinstalling from device manager but nothing works. currently typing this with external keyboard.

P.S also while writing this i noticed that my laptop keyboard only works when an external keyboard is plugged in.

Then your only option is to reset button.

If the keyboard is the only issue, then uninstall the driver again. Download the driver to the system, and use the setup file in the driver to update the driver (don't use the device manager this time).

how to hard boot & clear cmos :??:

A hard boot is shutting down Windows and turning the laptop off. Then remove the cable from the AC power brick and remove the battery from the laptop and press the reset button. After a few minutes reassemble the laptop. The laptop manual will have instructions on this.

That process allows the power and capacitors to discharge. The result is all of the applications are stopped and cleared.

You should consult the laptop manual for specific instructions on clearing the CMOS. The laptop may have a button or a jumper to clear the CMOS. Alternately you may remove the CMOS coin battery. The result is the same as resetting the BIOS to the defaults. This is particularly helpful if you are having problems with the boot up.
