Network Information:
Modem- ARRIS SURFboard SB6141
Router- Netgear WNDR4300
ISP- Cox Communications

10 devices are connected wirelessly.
7 devices are connected physically.

Problem Details:

At some times (seemingly during the day) and for an undetermined yet finite period, my Wi-Fi network suddenly losses all ability to establish connections to the internet. However, during the time, the LAN is still operational, and all wired connections can still communicate with both the internet and the LAN. I was wondering if I could get some assistance troubleshooting the issue. Thank you in advance.

Please ask for further details if needed.

That has to be some firmware issue or maybe a failing radio chip. I would see if there is a firmware update form the manufacture.

There are very few settings you can make on the wifi, the fcc made them lock down more interesting things. Most stuff is related to think like radio channel and data encoding which would not cause your issue

If does it on both radio bands at the same time it would more likely be software since there are 2 different radio chips. If only one radio band fails then it is more likely a hardware error.

If you disable the radio and re-enable the radio does it correct itself or do you have always reboot the router. Just disable/enable points to software again.

I have confirmed that the firmware is of the latest date from the manufacturer. Furthermore, I can assert that both bands fail during this event, so thank you for the insight into the reasoning. As for the radio reset, I will cycle the radio during the next event and return to you with the results. For previous events, I have only cycled the router's power.

To my knowledge, no one on the wifi network does anything that would put a major strain on the bandwidth. Only one connection could even be considered strenuous, but that is connected via ethernet, so unless shenanigans ensues, I doubt the importance of each user. However, I will consider that an intruder may be in the network, so I shall gather monitoring tools to assist in debugging. Do you recommend any methods for monitoring traffic volume per connection?

I have confirmed that cycling radio power does restore internet connection.
