Hi as am planning for my office pc build and am confused with SSD selection does 120Gb is enough for Windows 10 pro, microsoft office, photoshop and few regular use apps strictly no games or shall I go with 240gb. And one more thing does partition can be done on an ssd if yes then how much space i need to allocate for os and rest of apps. I have a dedicated 1tb HDD for storage and I want all apps and os on ssd kindly advice.

Solution
the 120GB SSD's are SLOWER than the larger 240's so based on that alone I suggest the 240GB. you should not have to partition the drive at all. the apps will coexist with the OS happily.

get a 240
single partition-windows will probably partition part of the drive for itself but it will not be seen by you in windows. install windows with the SSD the only installed drive, after windows is installed and updated you can reconnect the HDD. windows likes to spread the files around and may put needed boot files on the HDD slowing the boot process.
the SSD will slow down as it approaches full try to keep 10% of the drive free, 20% is ideal. this is easier on a larger SSD
