I have a gtx 1070 with a Ryzen 7 1700 16gb of 2400 ram. So I am thinking of trying to go to 1440p. I play bf cod and pubg. So do I buy a 1440 p monitor and use this system or do I buy a gtx 1080 ti and then save for a 1440p monitor at later time. So I am asking if my system will or should work well at 1440p. I would like 80 to 100 FPS but I have not ever done 1440p. Any advise would be appreciated.

A 1070 can certainly do 1440p, although to be hitting 100FPS or so, consistently, you'll likely have to turn down some settings in some (most?) titles.
Generally speaking, a Medium preset should be more than achievable, with some titles being capable at High or Ultra.

A monitor would be a better long-term investment IMO. I'd opt for the monitor now, and upgrade the GPU is/when required.
A 1070 should hold you over until the end of the year, at least. At that point, you should have a much better picture of what GPUs are available and a what prices.
