Old ssd in a new PC

I'm going to build a new pc with all new parts except I'm keeping my old ssd. How can I clear it without hurting it? I would a appreciate a noob friendly guide.

Thanks for your response. Yes I plan on doing a clean OS install because I don't want to have driver problems. I'm on windows 10 and will install windows 10 when I finish my new build.
