Charging port and charger melting

So i bought a MSI GE62VR a couple of months back, it was fine but just a few days back i noticed that the charger gets really hot when gaming so i thought its normal as it only happened on intense tasks, but this morning i took a look at the port and i noticed that the plastic around the ports has melted to a point i can barely plug the charger in.
i am not sure why this is happening
and msi is saying that this issue is not covered under warranty and it would take a couple of months to get it fixed.

Also noticed that the charger now gets how even when idling.

What is their reasoning as to why it is not covered under warranty? You were using the product as intended and most people who game on a laptop use it while plugged in. I would ask for a higher level of support as that seems like a warranty issue to me.

They’r reason is that i am only using standart warranty and issues with chargers and ports are not covered which i think is bizzare as this is a vital part of a laptop.

Are you past 6 months from the purchase?

According to this the Adapter is covered by a 6 month repair warranty and the motherboard, which the port on the laptop is part of, is covered by a 12 month warranty. I don't see any limitations and this is the standard warranty.

I would absolutely ask for a upper level rep or management as that is just crap.
