Hi, i have been gaming like this for like a year already researched alot and could never find a a way to fix this, i made a video of the problem but basically my gtx 1060 6gb (from manli) juts starts spinning around and kinda does a formula 1 car... its really annoying while gaming, with speedfan it just says that all my fans are at about 65000 rpm. the thing is that msi afterburner does work at idle but after opening a game it stays at the fan curve but after 2 minutes its gets crazy as is shown on the video, the rpm just varies from 0-1000000 but it actually never stops

Hey!

Take a look at the GPU Temps while gaming...
Eventually the Thermal Paste has gotten bad and so it needs to spin that fast to cool itself...
And yea the 65000 RPM cant be right. that has to be a false reading

I feel bad for laughing at this video, and that formula sound.....lol. This is reference model, right? I think they are expected to run a little noisier than "regular" models. However, this is really weird. Try to clean it with compressed air, maybe it has dust in it, but i dont believe that is problem. Change thermal paste too, i dont think manli used good paste for this gpu. And can you do this, test more than one game. Reason why im telling you this is because i had gpu fan problem. Whenever i opened witcher 3, my fans were acting weird. They were increasing speed without any reason. By that I mean gpu was 65-69 celsius hot, at fan speed of about 50%. Now, by every second fan speed was increasing. They didnt let my gpu run any hotter than 65-69 celsius, and fan speed even went to 90%. That was very irritating because they didnt have any reason to run that fast(and that loud), while gpu is at normal temp. After witcher, every game i opened fans were acting same. Then i just restarted pc and fans were acting normal until i opened witcher. I still didnt solve this problem. Do this, maybe it is just problem to a single game. Also, what is your ambient temp?

my idle tempertures are 28-30ºC, i did the video like a year ago '-', cleaning didnt solve it but i will try to change the termal paste, it runs fine at idle but when i open a game it just starts to do this sound, there was a time that i solved this problem and i runned fine in all of the games and only ocasionally started to do this noise again, when it started it just cleanned it but this time it didnt work. about it being noiser its true, at fan speed 32% (minimum) it gets 1200RPM and at 100% 3800RPM
