Freezing Makes Gaming Impossible/Irritating

Specs at bottom of post
My machine hangs on 90% of games for most often 1-30 seconds (Sometimes longer) randomly from 2 seconds to an hour apart from the last hang. Some games play fine, mostly FPS games suffer the issue. Some games also have a looping sound on freeze while others don't. Multiplayer is unplayable at this point.
I have exhausted my knowledge and ruled out/verified the following.

HDD Errors:
CrystalDiskInfo reads healthy drives across the board minus two drives reading a warning for sectors.
Tested worst freezing game (Borderlands and Battlefield 1) on all my drives separately and still had issues.
Verified all with SFC /scannow, chkdsk /f /r
Defragmented all drives (minus ssd of course)

CPU:
Removed overclock, heat steady and never hits over 64C even under prime95 stress test.

GPU:
Have not extensively tested GPU but removed OC, tinkered with settings before restoring it to factory, still runs most games at a solid 60 frames as well as move it to other PCI lanes.

Network:
100% sure it isn't the network as nothing else suffers on the network. Did notice when hosting games on freezing desktop in question, other players on LAN are disconnected.

Drivers are all current. I reflashed my BIOS today. EventViewer has some recurring errors but they don't match up with the timing of the freezing at all.

Reseated CMOS, CPU, GPU, RAM, and all drives.

I am married with two kids and full time job and honestly in the dog house with my wife for tinkering with it so much instead of sitting on the couch cracking beers and acting like a decent husband. I am in need of a wizard out there, long draping sleeves and all. I do this crap for a living and I am stumped. I will follow up to this post with any required information/logs if needed.
Screenshot is what gameplay is like. The low spikes are the hangs.

Thanks for the reply, it is a Corsair CX 750 watt bronze, approximately 4 years old.

Look at the Event Viewer logs and Reliability History.

Hopefully there will be some error codes or warnings recorded at or just before the time of the freezes.

Either a consistent pattern or inconsistent. If the latter - PSU may be the root problem.

Checking the event logs during the issue I found no consistent errors or really anything that could possibly cause a hang. However since the time of the issue I have since restored the OS and am not getting the issue anymore. Apparently the power supply is not to blame in this case.

IF anyone else runs into this strange selective freezing, your best bet is probably last good configuration/restore/re-install the operation system.
