All his games would show a startup screen and when it reaches the main menus, the game shows a black screen. The monitor and pc are perfectly fine and are powered. He never messed with any setting/file/wire/etc. and the problem randomly occurred just today as of this post.
he never had this problem before.
when he opens a game (like PUBG), it won't show the menu but he can open the steam overlay and he can alt-tab out of the game but the game won't display an image.
we tested fortnite and the same result occurs.
any suggestions on what he can do?
