I'm in the process of upgrading my processor to an i7-8700 and as I'm going from AMD to Intel I need to change my motherboard.
The motherboard I want is the Asus z370 e but I noticed it has 2 usb 2.0, 2 usb 3.0 and a usb 3.1 on the back panel.
Now I think this will be enough for my headset, keyboard, mouse and mouse pad as long as the usb 3.1 port will allow usb 2.0, however I'm not sure if the motherboard will be able to connect to the usb ports on the front of my case (NZXT phantom 410). I need those front ports as well for my external hard drive and controllers.
My knowledge on components is better than most but is still very limited so I couldn't find an answer I could understand.
The build I'm going for also includes Corsair vengeance RAM (DDR4 3000 2x8 GB), Asus strix 1070ti, Corsair h100 and Corsair Vs 550w psu and as far as I'm aware there's no compatibility issues with the current parts and the new ones.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated :)

What makes you think you won't be able to connect the front io usb ports to your mobo? Is it a length issue? Worse comes to worst you can always get a pci-e usb card.
