Hi!

I have a 120 GB SSD which has Windows 10, a 50GB game and some other miscellaneous stuff installed on it.

I also have a 1 TB hard drive that I install everything else onto. My SSD at it's current state has 2.5 GB free. When ever I try to run a game which is completely installed on my HDD, my SSD space will immediately drop down to 255MB and my game will proceed to crash.

Any one have any idea why my SSD is being used when playing a game completely installed on my HDD?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

SSD's need at least 20% free space to function correctly. I would upgrade to at least a 256GB or the more common 500GB, SSD's have gotten cheap over the last year or so. You can then turn your 120GB into a game drive for your more common games that you play all the time.

Good to know! Time to pick up another SSD I suppose. Thanks!

There are areas on the C: drive that is the default location for programs.

Your specific problem is related to the swap file. The default location is the C drive and your game is using it. It's crashing because your game needs a bigger swap file and Windows doesn't have enough room to grow it.

I assumed it was something along the lines of this.

Thanks!
