Recently built a new computer with a MSI B350 PC Mate motherboard, a ryzan 2700x cpu, ddr4 ram, and a Gtx 1080 gigabyte. However when I attempt to boot the red light for the cpu comes on for a moment, and the fan speeds up, then it disappears and the fan slows. But the bios doesn’t appear on my screen, and my keyboard which has coloured lighting doesn’t light up etc. Is it normal for the red light to come on briefly? I have tried: placing the hdmi in motherboard instead, swapping to a older graphics card, removing the graphics card completely, swapping the ram to 1 stick, removing the ram completely ( created two lights), unplugging the 4pin for the cpu (makes the light perminant), unplugging everything except the ram, cpu and motherboard. Please help!!

Edit- I have attempted a cmos reset don’t know if I did it correctly

Edit- The fans do work after the light and continue to run, they just slow down from fast to quiet

Could it be the bios not being a good enough version to run with the CPU?

Solution
It could very well be that the bios is not updated to a compatible revision for a 2nd gen ryzen. You can try updating it by either taking it to a shop and paying a fee, asking a friend to lend you their cpu or apply for an amd boot kit if thats still happening.
