Lag after ram upgrade(8 to 16gb)

So i upgraded my ram from 8gb to 16gb of ddr3l 1600mhz ram in my msi gt70 2qd dominator laptop and now the in game lag is worse than it was before. The ram i used is https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0145WDNI4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_a.MyBbF460A44. If you need more info tell me. Please help im super stressed right now.

I updated all my drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled gpu drivers. only two i could see is my ram placement wich is 1-2 of 0-1-2-3 possible slots and maybe a bios update. For an exemple my fps went from about 200 fps in the fortnite mainscreen(i know cringy) to 40-50 fps and 60 to 30 in gta.

Adding memory is not recommended as the old memory has never been tested with the new memory. For that reason, memory manufacturers won't guarantee compatibility. When adding extra memory it can cause the existing memory to no longer be able to operate at rated specifications.

I suggest buying the 16GB Kit (2x8GB) kit, although I've never heard of that brand name, Timetec.
