I had an i5 - 2400 it worked perfectly in my Intel DQ67SW motherboard with 1 stick of ddr3 hyperX Fury 8gb ram. I could boot it up fine, go onto windows and everything was normal. Until I got a new CPU - i7 3770k I've already updated to latest bios so it should support it. But when I put the CPU in the socket (In the face of the arrow obviously) wait btw I've been looking on these forums for so long and I see alot of people are saying are your pins bent. Mine are definitely not because I can put my old i5 in and the ram would work with it so that's not the problem. Anyway so I put the new i7 in boot it up only to hear 3 beeps (memory failure) and a no signal (blue screen) on my monitor. Please help me as I have been looking on your forums forever and I've finally posted my own. Please help!

I found a new Mobo. This should work with my i7 3770k, Cooler Master Hyper TX3i CPU Cooler, GTX 1050 Ti, 8gb DDR3 HYPERX Fury, 600W ThermalTake Power supply. BTW the New motherboard is - INTEL DQ77CP... The socket is LGA 1155 and it says it supports 3rd gen Processors!! So Yay!! Just to check with you guys is all this compatible I've already had to buy 2 Mobo's because of stupid compatibility...please check with me. Thanks

What's the disadvantages of having a discontinued Mobo?

You can monitor the memory clock if you want....but I wouldn't be concerned about it.

If you use 1600 MHz memory it should go to 1600 MHz.
If you use 1333 MHz memory it should go to 1333 MHz.

As far as the discontinued board. Most of the boards I'm using are discontinued. I don't see an issue.
