Firstly greetings to all and thank you in advance...
So my initial specs were:

Intel i7-6700K 4.0Ghz
MSI Z170A Gaming M7
Samsung 850 Evo SSD Series 250GB SATA3
Seagate Desktop 7200 2TB
MSI GTX 1060 GAMING X 6GB GDDR5
G.Skill Ripjaws V Red DDR4 3000 PC4-24000 16GB 2x8GB
Thermaltake Riing Silent 12 CPU Cooler
EVGA GQ 650W 80 Plus Gold Modular
NZXT Noctis 450

I built this PC Dec 2016,over the last year and a half i added another Samsung 850 Evo SSD and
a Samsung 970 Nvme M.2.Also i have 6 Corsair AF120 case fans (inc the cpu cooler) and a 140 fan, all was going well and my DRAM was working perfectly at 3000,timings and voltage were also corrrect, using MSI`s XMP feature.A few days ago i was able to finally finish my PC build by being able to get another 16gb of ram, exactly the same kit as the initial build. So, after installing the ram and making sure its recognized in BIOS and Windows 10 i found that the XMP feature does`nt work, from what i´ve been reading up on,i think it´s because i have 2 (2x8gb) kits and even being exactly the same kits they won´t be accepted by XMP.So i figured i'd have to change the DRAM speed, timing and voltage manually. This is my problem, using either the XMP feature or changing the speeds manually, causes my PC to not post,i get a black screen with the following...

All settings were reset to default values.
The previous overclock settings have failed, system has been restored to default settings
Press F1 to run setup
Press F2 to load default and continue

If i use the defult settings my PC runs fine and i get to my desktop without issues and my 32gb of ram show up in Win10,Photoshop,Premier etc.Thing is default Ram speed is 2133 and voltage 1.2
and 15 15 15 36.According to GSkill it should be 3000,1.35v and 15 15 15 35.Whenever i try to change any of these values and i save and exit bios, i get thrown back to the black screen with the error message.I updated my BIOS to the latest 7976v1K version, and still no joy.Unfortunately,BIOS is not my strong suit i guess there must be something im doing wrong when changing my ram settings and thats why i get the error message.

OK,well any help would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks.

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. There are no guarantees for other combinations you happen to come up with. The same applies to XMP settings.

Once you start using multiple kits or multiple modules sold as singles, the memory may no longer be able to run at rated specifications or the system may not boot up.

Thanks for the quick reply Scout_03.

So i tried what you said cause honestly i panicked thinking i had bought defective ram but with the new kit XMP worked
perfectly again, correct speed, timings and voltage. As soon as i added the older kit XMP auto disabled and if enabled or manually change the settings i go to the overclock error screen. If i leave optimized defaults...2133 ram speed and 1.2v
(timings hardly change 15.15.15.36 instead of 15.15.15.35)then everything works fine.
I guess there isnt much difference between 2133 and 3000 and if i had known i guess i woudnt have bothered getting 3000,but since i have id like it to go at that speed.
So...any ideas what i could be doing wrong...???
