Hi guys, regarding NZXT s340 case, i have some questions about it:

(1) from its specifications written on the site, it says number of HDDs/SSDs is "2+1" !! so what does that mean ??? does it support 2 or 3 HDDs/SSDs ??

(2) The front panel of the case is covered with magnetic air filter, how can the airflow comes into this case while that thing is obstructing the air from coming in ?? is it bad airflow or what ?? same question by other way: is it bad airflow for this case ??

Solution
There is a drive cage that can fit 2 hdd or 2 ssd. There is the option to mount another hdd/ssd on the bottom of the case but apparently its a bit tricky due to the mounting mechanism.

As far as airflow goes there are intake ports on the top of the front panel (near the front io) and i think on the bottom of it as well. Although not as great as unobstructed airflow, its still decent.

I have this case, and you wont regret buying it. Airflow is good too, just be sure to take fans that are pushing in some air for real, dont cheap out on case fans. You have more than enough space for cable managment too.

With cases that have a front "door", there are vents along the edge of the door. The air flow is not a problem. I have a similar case, and cooling is fine. The purpose of the door can be just cosmetic. But in most cases the door provides soundproofing to help quiet the front fans.

Thanks you so so much bro for this info, also special thanks to all other people posting their answers as they really helped me so much too :)

Now sorry for this but just 1 more question a little bit away from main one but i hope you can help me decide:
Considering the optimal airflow and best cooling, which case from those 3 is highly recommended from your perspective:

- NZXT S340
- Cooler Master MasterBox MB500
- Corsair Carbide Spec-02

In my country the 3 are almost the same price, maybe MB500 is the highest price but not too much from others, for S340 its the lowest price but if i got it then i will need to add 2 front intake fans 120mm which will make the price almost the same to MB500 that it's already has 2 front intakes and 1 rear. that's how it works :)

There is an odd arrangement (red or blue) that may be some sort of drive cage. To be honest it is hard to tell from the pictures what it is. But there are two HDD & two SSD surface mounts on the motherboard compartment floor (over the PSU and under any graphics cards).

I have some other options but i think the 3 mentioned before are better than them, if you wanna have an idea here you are:

- Corsair Carbide SPEC-01
- Cooler Master MasterBox lite 5
- Cougar MX310
- Cooler Master K550 Series

Those cases you mentioned are totally away from my budget, in addition some of them are not available here in my country, only what i have mentioned before is the available budget ones.

The Fractal Design Define S is same cost as the NZXT S340.

The Define C is another at the same cost.

I'm just giving you some other options. All of these have regular drive cages without any wondering. And they are all well reviewed.

Actually as i said before its not available at the market in my country, anyways which one from the collection i mentioned + the 3 previously mentioned before do you recommend for me? regarding the optimal airflow and specs for gaming.

Personally for me it'd come down to the s340 and the CM MasterBox lite 5. They are both cases and it will depend on your actual preference in terms of design and brand. Just be aware that you will need additional fans so that will increase the cost as well.

Pick the one that is most pretty to you. Im using just one fan that came with my s340 and it lowered temp of my gpy from 69-70 to 62-64 celsius. Im running it at 100% but when you are using your headset you will barely hear it(most likely you will hear hdd and not fan....). One drawback(transleted from google, i dont know word) of this case is psu filter. That is the worst thing i have ever seen. You will have headache while removing it. And screw are a little hard to take off with hand, you will definitely need screwdriver(transled from google). Sorry for my bad english, i hope i helped you a bit.

S340 come with 2 pre-installed fans, top fan and rear one. I don't know if you relocate the top fan to be installed in the front but you shouldn't run it at 100%, the full power of the fan should be only for the overheating problems but 69-70 celsius is fine and you should start worrying when your temp exceeds 80 celsius ... anyways i really got nice info from you, still not sure if i will get this case or not because i'm actually looking forward for the Corsair SPEC-02 case but for any case i will get then i will have to add 2 front intake fans for the optimal airflow :) thanks again mate for your help :)

I relocated my fan because i dont really need any additional cooling for my cpu, i already have scythe fuma and it is keeping my cpu under 55 degrees, while gpu is running a little hotter, so why not. About second fan, i gave it to friend. And for speed of fan i dont really because i will replace this fan with silent wing 3 and corsair ll i think
