Is my PSU good enough for my GTX 1080 (Gigabyte) and what would be an optimal one?

I recently bought the EVGA - 80 PLUS 600W ATX 12V/EPS 12V Power Supply - Black that is popularly on sale for a low price at Best Buy. Shortly after I bought my GTX 1080 and was informed upgrading my PSU may be a good option.

To what extent should I upgrade (if I were to need to) my PSU? and what would be some reliable options?

Thanks.

Price does not concern me with these two, which one would you go with?

If you don't mind, what exactly is the difference between your two recommendations and what makes the PRIME one better?

Thanks for the great feedback.

And would bumping up the wattage to make the Focus Gold a 750w be better than a PRIME Ultra Gold 650w?
Focus Gold 750W vs PRIME Ultra Gold 650W.

Thanks.

https://seasonic.com/prime-ultra-gold

facts why I would pick this.

1) max 20dba under 100% load, this is unreal.
2)0.5% mictrotolerance under the primairy rails, whereas evga hits 1%.
3)12year wararnty vs the evga 10 year.

and on top: https://nl.hardware.info/reviews/7446/7/seasonic-prime-gold-a-platinum-review-goud-met-platinakwaliteiten-efficientie
it scores platinum efficiency in practise.

absolutly the best psu imo in this price bracket.

If u want to ever sli that 1080 I can recommand the prime 850w series

edit: Ooh I did not see your message, yes the prime is a flagship unit , its the best psu model for the consumer.

Pretty sure I'm going to go with your recommendation, final question: Amazon says Prime Gold, but the website says Prime Ultra Gold. Is there any difference in a Prime Gold or Prime Ultra Gold, or did Amazon just word the product different.

Thanks.
