Hey guys.
I bought a 2nd-hand Lenovo Yoga 500 (500-14IBD) online. It came with the 65-watt adapter. Unfortunately, it seems like the unit suffers the same issue as the Lenovo models affected in this thread.
I didn't see a mention of the Yoga 500 but I'm very sure it suffers from the same issue. When I use it on battery, the CPU runs normally, but as soon as I plug the charger in, it maxes out at 500mHz.
Anyway, as per the title, can I use a 90-watt adapter --- which I think is for the Thinkpad models --- without issues? That it might fix the slowness while being plugged will be a wish for now, until I get to actually use it (will have to order it online). I just wanted to know if it's safe to do so. Thanks, ahead!
PS: This is my first Lenovo and will be my last. Looks like they not only have poor damage control, they suck at customer service, too.
