is my cpu overheating?

i've got a i5 2400 and when idle it stays around 39 to 40 degrees and usually in game it's around 70 to 75. is it safe?

yeah i was just wondering because my PC before when i had a pentium G620 in it the PC was really quiet and now with the i5 and all the fans clean with no dust, it's very loud so i was wondering if it was overheating.

it's Safe, but if you want to more cooler, clear the dust, and change your airflow.

It's a little bit on the warm side but still safe. When was the last time you replaced the thermal paste? Being it's an old CPU it's possible the thermal paste may be drying up.

in fact i just bought thermal paste and replaced it, yet the temps were the same
