I would overclock that 1400, to see how it goes. The 1080 might be a bit much for the weakest Ryzen 5, @stock. A bios update, and a 2600x would make for a nice pairing though, if you can afford to make the change.
I probably wouldn't as I tend to wait three tiers before upgrading. In your case, I'd either be looking at a 4th Gen Ryzen 5 (three generations) or a 3rd Gen Ryzen 7 (two generations and one tier upgrade). Of course, neither one exists as yet.

Yea I will give a try and overclock it for now and see if i can get a deal in the coming months for a better ryzen 5 or 7, or just wait for the 3rd gen like logainofhades commented. thanks!
Are you having any issues in any of the games you play? Are you able to play at the desired fps with the visual candy turned up? If so then you don't need to do anything. if all you are doing is playing games I would not worry too much about the cpu right now. I would at least wait for Zen 2 that should release next year.

yeah everything is working find. Yeah i will probably wait for the new gen ryzen or if i find a good deal.
