Ez debug boot LED

Hi guys I've recently taken the jump into building my first gaming pc. I've got the mother board ram cup gpu and fan installed all fans spin but there's a led on the ez debug for boot can anyone recommend what I'm doing wrong. It's an
msi x370 gaming carbon pro.
Ryzen 5 1600
750w psu

You can not use the motherboards HDMI out because the Ryzen 5 1600 has no built in graphics, you must use a video card.

So I have cleared the CMOS. I have managed to get the boot LED off by plugging in the windows USB with the window create tool but I still have no video out the usb is flashing and keyboard lights are on

I think I knowbwhat the issue is as the boot debug is now off. I'm trying to use the on board HDMI which I'm guessing I don't have the drivers to support it. Does this sound right?
