try entering boot menu (not in the bios menu) which normally shows the usb device and all the available bootable device
ESC, F1, F2, F8 or F10 will be the boot menu key depending mobo

insert your usb before accessing bios
In your boot settings in bios menu you have 4 options
select hard disk drives
there must be your hdd and usb (if your usb is detected)
select usb as first drive and hdd as second
now go back and select boot device priority and select usb drive

press f8 instead of delete (i think its f8, if it doesn't work press f2 or f10)
it should directly take you to the boot menu instead of bios menu
