My son is autistic. He had a "worker" organize a company online to build him an budget gaming AMD desktop. After 13 months (yup 12mth warranty expired) the thing goes BSOD.

I tried all the usual resets, restore points, etc. I finally reloaded win 10 pro and started over. He uses it for education and gaming.

Basic specs:
AMD Quad Core A10 7890 4.3 Ghz
ASUS R7 360 2GB Graphics Card
16 GB RAM
2 TB HDD
MSI motherboard
550w power
Bluray /dvd

Ok so low budget.

Well I think its hardware, maybe overheating but run tests and it's in range, pretty warm playing skyrim but not overheating.

It dies, I reload windows 10 pro and wipe personal files the lot. It works 2 weeks, then dies.

I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week so we get to eat.

So the "worker" when I'm at work ran killdisk on the hard drive because some friend who is in IT told him that's what you do.

Well. Lucky he ran it like 3 times so I tried everything and as you know without mega luck and $ the data is unreadable or gone.

So I reformat HDD and pull out of system. Trying to set up HDD using MSI drivers that came on CD but the transfer rate via usb is like 3.5gb over 876 years. (attempted humour but 24 hrs it's on 1%).

I thought of trying dvd shrinking the files and transfer....same rate.

So it's now obvious google is my step dad and I'm [removed] with IT.

How can I get the hard drive set up again to reload win 10?

Should I put the HDD back in the computer and get into bios - reset boot order to dvd and load drivers?

Ok, you've been waiting for the huge sob story or pics showing I'm a sexy person....well, I'm not sexy.

Any help ? I know someone out there is smarter than like about 7 billion of you.
