ryzen 5 2400g vs ryzen 3 1300x (cpu comparison)

I want to build a budget PC but for the cpu only I'm not sure which is better the Ryzen 5 2400g (disregarding vega 11 graphics) or the Ryzen 3 1300x. I will be pairing either one with a discreet graphics card anyway. So which

As many have said it is better to use a ryzen 1500x which cost nearly around the price of ryzen 5 2400g if you will be using a dedicated graphics card and your motherboard is of 300 series . Also if you have new 400 series motherboard then maybe a newer 2nd gen ryzen processor will be a better deal.

Note: ryzen 5 2400g will require a bios update before running on old 300 series motherboard.

If you're going to use a dedicated GPU you are probably better off looking at the Ryzen 5 1600. I believe it's about the same price as the 2400. The 1600 is a 6 core CPU versus 4 cores in the 2400
