My problems just keep piling up. And I'm having issues troubleshooting.

Win7
Samsung 850
X79-UD3 i7 3820

I'll list a few.

Spotify claims it can't open, as its closing down while i'm restarting.
A handful of programs close but the process stays running and can't be killed. Have to restart to get them back open.
Same thing with uTorrent, more recently, all my torrents stop at a seemingly random point. 30.9 or 66.9. Won't ever go passed that.
Some programs just don't open anymore.

Ran all the normally suggested checks and scans, not sure exactly when these began and I don't have any old restore points, only thing left I can think of is to reformat.

Do these kind of failures look familiar?

Appreciate the time. ;)

Does seem like a nasty has entered your system and is stopping it running as intended.

process that 'should normally be killed' and cant be, will point to a running service in your services tab ... and as I say, if the process should normally be killed from the process tab and cannot, then there is a 'dodgy' service spoofing your process. (most likely but without knowing what processes and programs you have it would be hard to tell).

If you have run al the normal av and malware checks, perhaps the av youre using is out of date or the virus itself (there are avs which are viruses)

try running a boot time rescue scan, if your av supports this.

A PUP(Potentially Unwanted Program) might have entered your pc, first go to control panel to uninstall any app you don't recognize then try Malwarebytes (free) and scan and delete any harmful files that caused damage to your pc and perform a chkdsk to make sure your hard drive isn't damaged
Best Of Luck :) ;)
