Ram dual channel

Hi,
i have asus gl553vd 8gb ram ddr4 2400hz

so i decide to add another 8gb ram

if i add 2666hz, it will work ? and it will be dual channel ?

If it works, it will probably run at 2400MHz. If you're going to add RAM, add the same type and speed that you already have to limit the chances of incompatibility.

I don't see anything about your laptop supporting dual-channel. All I could find would be this: Mobile Intel HM175 (Your motherboard chipset) which states:

# of DIMMs per channel 2

Whether that means dual-channel, I'm not sure.
