Devolo Dlan-System doesn't work in a particular room

My devolo system works in every room of the house, but as soon as I plug the adapter in the kitchen (which is pretty close to the router and the powerline) it stops working and the red light is flashing where the encryption button is. Every other room works perfectly fine.. just not this room and I start to believe some signal is interfering it. What do you think?

Kitchen is a bad room to try powerline in. Many times the refrigerator will interfere. Anything with a motor seems to cause issues.

It depends on the country you live in but GFCI outlets have been required in kitchens for years in many countries. Certain brands of GFCI block the powerline signal. Sometime the GFCI is a special circuit breaker rather than a outlet.
