So i recently bought a new graphics card and my pc won't recognise the video card in device manager, in my BIOS as well.
Nothing happens when I install the drivers as well, my video card is still dead.

My pc specs:
windows 7 ultimate;
8 GB RAM;
H81M-K motherboard;
i5-4440 3.10 Ghz;
Psu has 500W
I read on a thread from thsi site that my mottherboard would support the 1050ti with no problem.
I would highly appreciate any help that I could get.

It's not going to "pop". The graphic card requires more than the 75 watts the motherboard PCI-Ex16 slot will provide. Therefore, the card needs the extra power directly from the power supply via a 6-Pin PCIE power connector. If your power supply does not have one of these, then I would recommend that you replace it with a quality power supply that does because your current power supply is not designed to handle a graphics card with it's power requirements. I am firmly against adapters in this regard because if it fails, you lose your power supply, your graphics card, and maybe your motherboard as well; plus you have no grounds to stand on if trying to claim anything on warranty.

Either swap out your power supply for a newer, quality...

If you just bought it and your power and gpu connections are correct, Please send it back for a replacement. ( Do you have your old gpu?.....put that back in and make sure your slot is not damaged and wait for your new card to arrive.

nothing seems to be damaged I just put on the old video card and everything worked I am afraid that my pc might not be compatible with the card

There's no such thing as incompatible with a gpu. I've used the 1050ti with a second gen i5.

What do you mean by you're afraid your motherboard will "pop"? I don't understand.
Does your 1050ti require power pins?
If so, do you have them on your psu?
If so, did you properly connect them?

As I said earlier return your Gpu and get a replacement if you just bought it

It does have 6 power pins, mypoer source has a lot of empty power plugs but none of them match teh 6 power pisn that the 1050 ti has, I guess I need to buy an adapotr right?
By "motherboard might pop" I mean that it would be too much for it to handle and it might just stop working

Either swap out your power supply for a newer, quality unit, or return your graphics card for a model of GTX 1050Ti that does not require additional power from the power supply.
