Looking to replace CPU cooler

I am currently looking into replacing my CPU cooler with something that performs better. Right now I have an Arctic Alpine 11 installed and i was thinking of maybe switching over to a Phanteks PH-TC14CS_BL. My reason for choosing this cooler is i need something that can fit in a space of around 150mm or less and i would like to get as much performance as possible out of a smaller-ish sized cooler and it seemed like a good pick.

I'm wondering if the Phanteks cooler would be a good choice or if there was anything that would perform better for its small size or anything smaller but on the same performance level. Any recommendations would be helpful

How about going with Arctic Freezer 33? It's 150mm tall, has no RAM clearance issues, supports for push-pull fan configuration and comes with semi-passive fan,

In my Skylake build (full specs with pics in my sig), i have the predecessor of Freezer 33 in use, known as Freezer i32. Since both CPU coolers include semi-passive fan, you'll have 0 dB(A) noise output on low CPU loads. For me, the stock semi-passive fan didn't turn at all until my CPU reached 52°C. And when the fan started to spin, it was very quiet due to the fluid-dynamic bearing. Highest what i saw out of my i5-6600K was 55°C during CinebenchR15 while my CPU idles at 26°C.
Performance wise, Arctic Freezer 33 and i32 have the same cooling performance. Only difference between them is that Freezer i32 only has Intel mounting bracket while Freezer 33 comes with Intel and AMD AM4 mounting brackets.

I was hoping to stay as far under 150mm as possible as i have a very small case and i feel like most tower coolers would be too tall. My pc is an LGA 775 system so i need something that supports that socket type and I like the idea of a C-type cooler because my case has an opening on the side panel where I have mounted a fan to get direct air intake to my CPU cooler and chipset heat sinks. I'm running an overclocked QX9650 so my main goal here is better thermal performance, sound levels aren't too important because whenever I'd be doing anything that would require the fans to spin I'd most likely have my speakers turned up anyways

Well thank you very much. I'll have to take a look at that then and see about which cooler I'd like to get. It'll also be a matter of part availability in Canada. Sometimes I am just completely unable to find anywhere to buy a specific part and then I'm left with having to buy something else instead. Hopefully I can find something somewhere online

NCIX has actually gone out of business almost a year ago now. The website is still up but you cant order anything. I was thinking of maybe getting the Reeven but i literally cant find it anywhere online.

I've actually ordered the Phanteks cooler already but the site i bought it from said i can return it if it doesn't fit. So if it doesn't then I may go with the Noctua because it's about the same design and price as the Phanteks cooler

My PH-TC14CS_BL came in and I was able to install it with minimal issues. I had to mount the cooler upside-down to fit it properly, but I had just enough space in my case to fit this behemoth of a C-type cooler. Absolutely fantastic performance as I have yet to hit over 60 degrees C on any of the cores while gaming on a QX9650 overclocked to 3.8GHz. However if given a chance to do this type of build again I would probably buy something smaller like the Noctua NH-L12 next time just so the cooler is easier to install
