I recently took a piece of ram out of my computer. It now flashes on and off but doesn't boot. I put the Stick of ram back in the computer in the same slot and the computer successfully booted. I then swapped the two sticks of RAM and the computer did not boot. Therefore leading me to think it is something wrong with the motherboard or the ram. It should be noted the reason that I took out the ram was because I was having problems with it, because I think it is a faulty piece of hardware. If I leave the ram in it messes up my computer if I take it out my computer won't turn on. Please help.

Cpu: intel pentium g440
Ram A: Team elite plus ddr4 2133 CL 15-15-15-36
Ram B: aegis ddr4 2133 CL 15-15-15-35
GPU: EVGA gtx 1050
Motherboard: Gigabyte H110M-A LGA 1151
PSU: Logisys ATX 400watt
HDD: Western
digital green 320GB
OS: Windows 10

I only need a temporary fix that will last with the single stick because I plan on returning the "faulty" Ram.

Solution
Your motherboard will tell you where to populate ram sticks when you have less than the max.
Some motherboards are sensitive to this.

Download memtest86 and test each stick individually mounted in the required slot.
You should be able to complete a full pass with NO errors.

If each stick passes, try them together.
You bought two sticks not from the same matched kit.
Neither team nor g.skil will support you.
Buy a single kit of the capacity you need.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs, like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

You will need to include all the sticks of ram you've used. On another note, are you on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard?
