my friend has a i3 2120 and he is looking at upgrade options while not changing his motherboard search online told me the socket was as in the title can anyone suggest some more powerful cpus (if any) are available is anyone able to give me a top 5 list or something of that nature

K version or non-K, I5 2500(K), I7 2600(K), Bios update may be needed for I5 3570(K), I7 3770(K) If this is a big box OEM like Dell or HP you might be limited to a S version of the chips.
