When playing games my screen goes black.

When playing games like DOOM & Rainbow my screen goes black, and occasionally I can hear audio. When I turn the graphical setting down this problem is less noticeable, bit it still persists.So after reading some forms I decided to download MSI Kombuster to benchmark to see if I could find the problem, but my computer doesn't crash, and the temps are fine. So I bought a new power supply (CORSAIR CX750M) and the problem persisted. So I reinstalled my drivers, reinstalled windows, and reseeded my graphics card with no success.

My Specs

CPU: i7 8700k
RAM: 16GB of ram
Motherboard: MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS CFX ATX Motherboard
Graphics Card: XFX 390x

Note: I did move recently and there may have been damage, although nothing was noticeable for around a month after moving.

Try running Task Manager, Reliability History and Resource Monitor to observe what is going on while you play games.

Also use Event Viewer to check for error codes or warnings just before or at the time the screen goes black.

I figured out the problem, the GPU must have over heated at some point and it got a large amount of GPU artifacts that lead it to crash often. Which doesn't upset me know that the 390 in know for its heating issues and it is a AMD card so it is going to break within a year of use. What I would recommend if you are having a similar problem go through the easy steps (reseeding, software and drivers) and make sure it is your GPU that is the problem before you make any bug decisions. Luckly for me I was thinking a bout buying a card that is 4k capable anyway so it worked out, but what I have learned from this experience is to hope for the best but expect the worst.
