Apologies for common question.
I ran recently into issue. I was using i7-4770 with MSI b85-e33 mobo which both died. Currently got i5-4590 as replacement cpu and looking for fitting mobo within tight budget and atm only gigabyte h97-hd3 is available. Is it good though? I don't really care about features (oc, sli, etc) and with zero hardware experience don't want messing with bios then bashing my head about killed mobo. On their site there is no specifying about bios upgrade necessity for 4590, but from research I found out all h97 regardless of brand already has recent bios.
